Purchase and Travel Conditions
The general conditions of travel tickets online sale determine the conditions under which the ticket sales service provider Rossana srl will provide a travel ticket sales service to passengers – hereinafter the Customer – on www.autostazionetrieste.it website.
Online Travel Ticket Purchase
The Customer can purchase bus tickets on www.autostazionetrieste.it website.
Unless otherwise specified, ticket price does not include the following services:
- Bust Station fee: some bus stations charge a fee to access their premises. In Croatia, for example, this fee is usually around 5 - 10 Kuna (0.65 – 1.30 euro).
- Luggage fee: depending on the carrier selected, the Customer can see luggage transport conditions and possible luggage fees when purchasing their online tickets; in some cases, the service is free.
A contract of carriage between the Passenger and the Carrier as well as a contract of mediation between the passenger and Rossana Srl is considered as concluded only by a successful payment transaction, after which ticket and bill are sent to the Customer's e-mail address. Once they have purchased and received the ticket on their e-mail address, the Customer has to print out the ticket and submit it to the bus staff.
The Transport service is provided by the Carrier stated on the bus ticket; in case the route is operated by several co-operating carriers, all carrier names will be stated on the ticket. The Carrier providing the Customer with transport services is therefore the enforcer within the meaning of the Passenger Transport Act.
After purchasing the ticket, i.e. concluding the contract, the Customer is entitled to use the transport services provided by the Carrier selected when booking on www.autostazionetrieste.it website.
Rossana Srl will do its outmost to insure proper fulfilment of the contract between Customer and Carrier. Nevertheless, in its role as mediator Rossana Srl cannot guarantee the fulfilment of the contract, since the transportation service is regulated by the terms and conditions of the Carrier operating the route.
Timetable changes, delays and refunds
By purchasing a ticket, the Customer accepts that minor changes in the timetable might occur (such as delays due to traffic or other circumstances not caused by the Carrier’s negligence).
In case of late departure or full bus, the Carrier might re-book the Customer to a later departure if this is available within a reasonable timeframe from the original scheduled departure time.
Delays in the arrival time may occur, especially in periods with heavy traffic. In case of cancellation or considerable delay, the Customer will be refunded.
In case of a planned or necessary timetable change, Rossana Srl will inform the Customer by sending an e-mail to the address provided on ticket purchase. The Customer must check their e-mail 12 hours prior to the departure, in order to check whether there are any announced changes in the timetable.
NOTE: In accordance with article 3(k) of the Directive 2011/83/EU, passenger transport services are not under the scope of said directive and consequently are not subject to the application of the right of withdrawal.
NOTE: Special rules apply if the bus line is cancelled.
